Today, OHS students attended the East Central College Fair and had the chance to connect with representatives from more than 50 colleges! It was a great opportunity for them to explore future pathways and gather helpful information for their next steps.

OHS TV Studio will be LIVE Broadcasting tonight's Dutchgirl Softball game starting at 4:30pm against Four Rivers Conference rival Hermann Bearcats for FREE on YouTube tonight. Next week on Wednesday, September 17th, the Dutchmen football team will be hosting a tailgate for the Dutchgirl Volleyball home games against Fatima. This will take place in the grass area in front of the high school between 3:30pm-5:00pm.

OHS Troubadours has a Owensville/Dutchmen Spirit Store open from now until Sunday 9/21. All items will work to support ANY sport or activity at Owensville it is not choir specific. Part of the profit will help go toward the Troubadours performance trip to Disney World in Orlando this coming spring. The link to the store is below:

OHS TV Studio will be live broadcasting tonight's first home football game where the Owensville Dutchmen will take on the Borgia Knights for FREE on the OHS TV Studio YouTube page. Kickoff for the game is scheduled for 7pm, and the broadcast will go live around 6:30pm. During this broadcast, you will also see the OHS Marching Band halftime performance as well as the OHS Cheerleaders. You can expect multiple camera angles, live commentary, and instant replays during the broadcast. You can get to the broadcast using the YouTube link below:

The OHS TV Studio monthly newscast comes out on the first Friday of every month. If you would like to see a comprehensive video of so many of the things happening at the high school, and some throughout the district, the newscast is a great place to see it. Tomorrow at the first tailgate of the year before the home football game, Kona Ice will be selling snow cones with 25% of the proceeds going to OHS Choir!

You're invited to the tailgate to take place in the OHS parking lot before the first home football game of the season this Friday between our Dutchmen and the Borgia Knights. Our OHS band will be performing at halftime, and our cheerleaders will be cheering throughout the game.
Once students enter the game, we ask that they stay there and not go back to the parking lot until they are leaving. Additionally, middle schoolers in attendance need to either be in the middle school section or accompanied by a parent/guardian while at the game.

Our OHS Cross Country team traveled to Memphis, Tennessee Friday to run in the Memphis Twilight Classic that took place last night. They hit several landmarks on their trip, including visiting Elvis Presley's Graceland home.
In this meet, there were 37 full boys' teams. The Dutchmen took 22nd place as a team. They were led by Jr. Zachary Holtmeyer, who ran 16:25 for the 5k race. He was a medalist finishing 15th out of 283 runners. For reference sake, Carter Brocato holds the school record 5k time with his time at the state meet in 2016, where he ran 16:23. Only times at the state meet qualify for the school record. Holtmeyer's 16:25 is the 3rd fastest overall 5k performance in school history behind Brocato's 2016 state meet, and his 16:10 at the 2015 Missouri Southern Stampede.
On the girls' side, there were 36 full teams. The Dutchgirls took 30th place. They were led by Sr. Hannah Gehlert, who ran 20:53.
