The Gasconade County R-2 School District has announced that Superintendent Dr. Jeri Kay Hardy will conclude her service to the district at the end of the 2025-2026 school year. Hardy, who has served the district for ten years, will return to the Southeast Missouri area following the completion of her contract on June 30, 2026.
Hardy has accepted the position as superintendent for the Farmington R-7 School District.
“This district has meant so much to my family and me. Over the past decade, I have had the privilege of working with incredible educators, dedicated staff members, great families, and a community that is supportive of our schools. The pride, tradition, and excellence that exist here are truly special, and it has been an honor to be part of it.”
During her tenure, Hardy led and supported several key initiatives focused on student success, real-world learning, and long-term planning. These efforts included implementation of new Career Technical Education Courses, student interventions through Multi-Tiered Systems of Support, Daycare for staff, expansion of our preschool programs, and passage of the Dollar Value Modifier Bill, which adds over 1 million dollars annually to the school budget.
Hardy will continue to remain focused on the priorities of the Gasconade County R-2 District.

I remain fully committed to finishing this work well for our students, staff, and community.”

The Board of Education will begin the process of identifying the district’s next superintendent. Hardy will continue in her role until the end of the current school year to ensure a smooth transition.
