Gasconade County R2 is proud to launch our staff daycare this year! This is only available to our GCR2 staff with children ages 0-3. It is an option for staff members for childcare during the school day. The goal is to be an affordable and quality childcare option for staff members with children ages 0-3. This is just one of the ways that GCR2 helps support our staff members!
Another project that was completed around GCR2 this summer was the weight room at the Owensville Middle School. This will be used by classes and sports teams alike. It has already been put to use this summer as well!

GCR2 staff officially reported back today for convocation in the OHS gym. Big thanks to the OHS Band and Color Guard for performing this morning, and to the Owensville Chamber of Commerce and community sponsors for breakfast. We are officially one week away from the start of school!
Tomorrow, our GCR2 staff will gather in preparation for the upcoming school year. We have a week of teacher in-service days before school will officially begin for students on Monday, August 18th. In the picture, you will see a calendar of various staff appreciation days. We are thankful for our great staff at GCR2 and ready for a great school year. Thank you to each staff member for all they do for our students every day!
Check out the new concrete path from OMS to OHS! This was one of the many projects completed this summer around GCR2. Previously, it was a reclaimed asphalt pavement trail (RAP) that was constantly getting washed out. Thanks to Gary Pohlmann and Jimmy Mcclure for their hard work on this project that will last for years to come!
Welcome buses 102 and 103 to the fleet! We have one of the largest geographical school districts in the state with a lot of ground to cover, so having safe and reliable transportation for our students is a district priority. A goal of GCR2 is to be able to cycle 2 new buses into the fleet each school year to keep up with this need. These new buses even feature back-up cameras!
