CONGRATULATIONS!!!
This past week our OHS Choir program had 7 students eligible to audition for the Missouri All-State Choir. We received the results on Sunday. We are so proud of all of the hard work each student put in to prepare for the auditions on top of everything else they are working on! Here were our results:
Honorable Mention: Elliott Cooper & Kaitlyn Lange
Bass 1st Alternate: Eli Shields
Tenor All-State: Ashden Murphy
Ashden and Eli will rehearse with the other Central District students who were in the top 6 scores of their section in January. The top 4 scores from each section will perform at the Missouri Music Educators Association Conference on the last Saturday of January, and should something happen and another bass not be able to make their commitment, Eli will move up to take the spot.
All 4 students will also be invited to sing with the Missouri All-State Festival Choir in Springfield next July.
