Happily ever after? Find out what happens after the storybook ends when you come out to Owensville High School’s production of Into the Woods! Our students have worked hard to prepare this amazing production and can’t wait to share the music and the story with you this week. Be sure to save the date for Thursday, November 6th, and Friday, November 7th at 7 pm or, Sunday, November 9 at 2 pm!

CONGRATULATIONS to these 5 singers for auditioning and being selected for the Southwest American Choral Directors Association Regional Honor Choirs! These students prepared and recorded three components in September/early October and have waited until now to find out the results. They will join students from Missouri and 6 other states (Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas) in March 2026 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to rehearse/learn from world-renowned clinicians before putting on a concert for music educators from these 7 states and family members who make the trip.

🚨STATE BOUND🚨

Congratulations to our OHS Cross Country teams!

Our boys team qualified as a team for the MSHSAA State Meet with their 4th place finish in Linn this morning in the Class 3 District 3 meet. There were a total of 23 teams that they competed against, with a total of 139 runners. The boys also had three runners who would have qualified for the state meet as individuals as well because they placed in the top 30. They are as follows: Zachary Holtmeyer (11th place), Drake Dietrich (22nd place), and Chris Reyes (27th place).

Hannah Gehlert was our lone qualifier for state on the girls team. She finished in 8th place and will represent our Dutchgirl cross country team at state!

Our OHS FFA is in Indianapolis at the 98th National FFA Convention and Expo. Follow their Facebook Page "Owensville FFA - Missouri" for updates on the convention!

OHS TV Studio will be live broadcasting tonight's OMS 7th and 8th Grade Girls Basketball games against New Haven. The 7th grade game starts at 5:30pm and the broadcast will begin prior to the start of the 7th grade game. The 8th grade game will follow.

Our OHS TV Studio program will be offering a free live broadcast with commentary for tonight's final home football game between the Owensville Dutchmen and St. Clair Bulldogs. Tonight is senior night, and the TV Studio will broadcast all the pregame and halftime festivities as well. Each of our four school buildings (OHS, OMS, OES, and GES) will be having parent-teacher conferences today and tomorrow. We are excited to welcome parents/guardians to our buildings during this time.

***REMEMBER - School will not be in session for students tomorrow (Thursday, October 23rd) or on Friday (October 24th).

GCR2 Calendar of Events 10/20 - 10/26

Due to safety concerns with the weather, the OHS Marching band will not be traveling to the Park Hills band competition tomorrow. We are extremely proud of our band and all of the success that they have had this year. Come out to see their performance at the halftime show for homecoming this evening!

Tonight, our OHS TV Studio program will be live broadcasting the Homecoming festivities. You can expect to see the Homecoming Coronation, football game, band halftime show, and the cheer halftime performance. The live broadcast will begin around 6:15pm. Feel free to share with anyone who would be interested in watching but cannot make it to the game!

Outstanding Performances from last week!

This week and last week, GES and OES celebrated Missouri Day and Food For America. A big thanks to all of the community volunteers and OHS FFA students who volunteered to help with these events. It was a fun learning experience for all of our Elementary students!

It's Homecoming week at GCR2! Our Fall Homecoming tradition of having a parade on campus will continue again this year on Friday!

This year, our OHS TV Studio program will be live-streaming the parade for those who would like to experience the Homecoming magic! The live-stream is planned to start around 9:30am, and you'll be able to see the floats, our outstanding marching band, the homecoming candidates, and more!

Alumni and community members alike are all invited out for the Homecoming Football game Friday evening that will feature the Owensville Dutchmen Football team vs. the Sullivan Eagles, our first-place winning OHS Band halftime show, our OHS Cheerleaders homecoming routine, and more!
