OHS student Ariana Katsov has been nominated for Youth Athlete Of The Year. She is a World Medalist for Team USA in Acrobatic Gymnastics and has worked and trained very hard to get to the level she has achieved. Here is another project that was tackled during the summer to enhance the GCR2 campus. The curbing and draining on the edge of the OES playground received a facelift. The new curbing features multiple drains to help with water runoff.

Our media day photos with fall high school athletics programs have officially wrapped up this morning. We are excited to see activities starting up tonight with the Softball Jamboree at home and the Football Jamboree at South Callaway! Come out to OHS and cheer on the Dutchmen and Dutchgirls this fall!

Attention Parents/Guardians who pick up students from OES after school. If you haven't already, you can download the KIDaccount app and get your students' KIDaccount ID card to scan while in line to pick up your student(s). This process helps let the staff inside the building know which students are ready to be picked up in the pickup line. Staff and employee pricing will stay the same. If you would like a season pass, you can purchase those NEXT week at the Administration Building or the Owensville High School Athletic Director's Office.

Danny Rice, the OHS lead custodian, shows off his school spirit on the first day of school. Mrs. Ward's OMS 7th and 8th-grade girls choir is a big group! Coach Hunt's PE class at GES is excited to get active. OHS had their beginning of the year assembly. In the last photo, first responders welcome OES students to their first day of school. A huge thanks to local first responders who greeted students as they entered school for their first day all around the district. We are thankful to have an amazing support system in our community wishing all of our students and staff a great school year!

Tomorrow is the first day of school, and we are so excited to see all of the students back on campus! Let's make it a great year!

Gasconade County R2 is proud to launch our staff daycare this year! This is only available to our GCR2 staff with children ages 0-3. It is an option for staff members for childcare during the school day. The goal is to be an affordable and quality childcare option for staff members with children ages 0-3. This is just one of the ways that GCR2 helps support our staff members!

Another project that was completed around GCR2 this summer was the weight room at the Owensville Middle School. This will be used by classes and sports teams alike. It has already been put to use this summer as well!

Open house for our middle and high schools (OMS and OHS) are tonight from 5pm-7pm. We are excited to see you there! Students and families new to OHS this year will have a meeting in the OHS big gym at 5pm.

Be sure to log into the Infinite Campus Parent Portal to complete registration BEFORE the start of school on Monday, August 18th for a chance to win a new 2025 Apple iPad 11.
