On Friday, September 11th we are inviting all Veterans and First Responders to the Dutchmen Football game against Russellville.
There will be a tailgate in the parking lot prior to the game starting at 4pm. At 6:15pm we will call all Veterans and First Responders in attendance to the track to be recognized at 6:30pm. After the coin toss, we will have a moment of silence and the playing of taps by an OHS Band member.

GCR2 Weekly Events
We would like to extend a huge thank you to all of the Alumni in attendance for the games last Friday night. The campus was full of energy, excitement, and support. In total, over 100 Alumni between Softball, Cross Country, Football, Band, and Cheer were recognized. OHS graduates between the classes of 1959 and 2026 were recognized, showing an incredible history of the people who have helped to make GCR2 what it is today.

Our OHS Cheerleaders were busy last Friday! They started their morning off at OES for high-five Friday, where they welcomed our OES students as they arrived for school to start their day with some cheer from older role models.
Then later that afternoon, they volunteered at Helping Hands in Owensville for the mobile food pantry. On the fourth Friday of every month, different OHS clubs and teams volunteer at Helping Hands.

Due to this week’s heat advisory, please send students with a refillable water bottle, especially bus riders. Water will be available on afternoon bus routes. All outdoor activities will follow MSHSAA heat protocols. Thank you for helping us keep students safe and hydrated!
'Tackle the Talk' shirt orders are in and can be picked up at the Owensville High School Main Office during the day today, or at the tailgate tonight under the counselor's tent/booth that will be set up in the parking lot. Remember, wearing one of these shirts also gives you free entrance into the games tonight. Thank you to all who ordered and supported!

If you are a softball, football, cross country, band, or cheer alumni and plan on attending, please fill out the form at the link below so we know who is coming and can add you to the free pass list at the gate. Anyone who fills out the form will be added to the free-entry list for tomorrow's games.

In the second image, you will find a color-coded map explaining the parking areas for tomorrow after school. We are expecting a larger turnout for the tailgate and games. The middle school parking lots, elementary school parking lots, and the north parking lot at the high school will be utilized for parking.
In the third and final image, you will see the amount of people who have filled out the Alumni night form so far. We are excited to welcome our Alumni back on campus and for our current students to see the pride, tradition, and support our community has for our students, school, and programs. As mentioned above, there is still plenty of time to fill out the Alumni form. We will pull the names from form entries tomorrow after school ends.

2. At future events, you can purchase a season pass at the gate. (To help with lines and traffic at the August 28th game you cannot purchase a season pass at the gate, you will have to do so at the tailgate in the parking lot)
