This year, we're excited to welcome 12 new teachers to the Gasconade County R-II School District—and here's the exciting part... 🎉This is the SMALLEST new teacher cohort in the last six years! 🎉

That means we have a wonderful opportunity to make an even bigger impact by giving each of them a warm GCR2 welcome. If you'd like to help, please review the attached letter from Assistant Superintendent Jesse Janssen for donation details. Donations are requested by July 23 so we have time to assemble the bags.

This year, GCR2 will provide free breakfast for all students, but will charge for lunch. Please see the attached letter for more information. To fill out a free/reduced lunch form, parents must FIRST complete online registration through the Parent Campus app, THEN, within the app, go to the menu (three lines in the top left), select "More" and then "Meal Benefits." If you need assistance, please call the administration office at 573-646-1015 and speak with Megan Silvers. Paper forms are available at the admin office. All students who complete online registration and submit a free/reduced lunch form (regardless of eligibility) before August 24 will be entered into a drawing for a free TV (one winner per building).

The summer paint crew has worked hard to brighten the commons and front hallway of OHS. Additionally, the big gym at OHS is starting to get the beginning layers for the gym flooring install.

🚨 ATTENTION CLASS OF 2026 SENIORS 🚨

Today is the last day to pick up your diploma and other graduation items at OHS before they are moved to the Administration Building.

You can pick up your items at OHS until 3:00 p.m. today.

Beginning Monday, June 29, all remaining diplomas and graduation items can be picked up at the Administration Building in town Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., through July 30.

Update on projects around campus!

1: The rebar is in and ready for the concrete pour in the grassy square outside of the locker room hallway at OHS.

2: Concrete was poured this morning at the Administration Building.

3: Initial ground breaking for the javelin runway has begun in the field outside of OES next to the discus throwing circle.

4: The flooring is now being installed at the OMS gym. After the OMS gym is done they will move to work on the OHS gym floor.
