Congratulations to our Owensville High School Track and Field team! Our district was well represented over the weekend at the MSHSAA Class 3 State Championships with 12 OHS athletes competing in events. Four OHS Athletes earned the title of All State, and 3 school records were broken or tied this weekend.

Summer School 2026 runs from May 27 to June 19. Time is from 8AM to 3:15PM. Free breakfast and lunch are provided. Incentives include money for attendance.
All incoming OHS students for the 2026-2027 school year, attached are your options for summer school starting next week on Wednesday. If you take summer school classes to knock out necessary credits for graduation, it simply frees up your schedule during the school year. This gives you the flexibility to take other courses in high school for dual credit, help you graduate early if that is your goal, or allow you to take more electives that you would enjoy taking. Your options are below:

SESSION 1: May 27th to June 8th (8:15 am - 3:15 pm)
SESSION 2: June 9th to June 19th (8:15 am - 3:15 pm)

INCOMING FRESHMEN (Class of 2030):
1. You can take PE in the first session of summer school for a 1/2 credit of PE. You are required to have a full credit of PE for graduation requirements.
2. You can take health in the first session of summer school for a 1/2 credit, and this would satisfy your 1/2 credit requirement for health for graduation requirements.

INCOMING SOPHOMORES - SENIORS (Class of 2029 - Class of 2027):
1. You can take Personal Finance during the first session of summer school only. This would satisfy your 1/2 credit requirement for graduation.
2. You can take health during the first session of summer school only. This would satisfy your 1/2 credit requirement for health for graduation.
3. You can take PE or Outdoors Activities during the first session of summer school only. This would satisfy a half credit of PE. You are required to have a full credit of PE for graduation requirements.
4. If you are A+ Qualified, you can take Cadet Teaching during Session 1 only. These cadet teaching hours will count toward your requirement of mentoring for the A+ program. It also gives you a grade and a 1/2 elective credit.

CREDIT RECOVERY - This is the only course available in summer school for both sessions. Students who need to recover credit from a course previously taken are encouraged to enroll in the summer credit recovery program.

Youth softball camp at OHS field from May 26-28. Register by May 15 for a T-shirt. Cost: $30 per person or $50 for a family.
The OHS Class of 2026 Graduation is this Friday at 6:30 pm in the Owensville High School big gym. If you are unable to attend the graduation in person, but would like to watch the live stream of the graduation ceremony, tune into the OHS TV Studio YouTube channel to see the live broadcast.

The live broadcast will begin at 5:30 pm and will show videos from the senior class leading up to graduation. Feel free to share with anyone unable to attend. You can expect multiple camera angles and crisp audio.

It has been an exciting year for the Owensville Dutchmen Varsity Baseball Team as they head into their final regular season game today before the Class 4 District 9 tournament begins.

Congratulations to the entire team for their Academic All-State team award for their cumulative 3.49 GPA as a team. These guys have been getting it done on the field and in the classroom.

Congratulations to Chase Weirich, Tucker Sassmann, and Chris Allen on their First Team All-Conference selections in the Four Rivers Conference.

Congratulations to Chris Allen and Chase Weirich for both hitting the 100 career Varsity hits milestone as a Dutchmen baseball player this season, and to Chase Weirich for recording hitting the 200th career Varsity strikeout milestone on the mound.
